I was always told that the best way to figure out if you are going to have a boy or a girl was to flip a coin. Well, that is not true anymore. There are a lot of exciting studies that have pointed out new ways to almost insure that you can effect which gender your next baby will be. Most of these studies include 3 steps to help you out. Step #1: Timing & PH Levels There are specific times when a woman is most likely to conceive either a boy or a girl. This is dependent on what a woman's natural acidity or alkalinity levels are. Acidity in the blood will likely help in conceiving a boy while alkalinity will help conceive a girl. Basically, it works like this: Step #1 pH Levels

* If a woman's pH level is determined to be highly acidic, she is more likely to have a girl. High acid levels are more likely to kill off high numbers of male reproductive Y cells. This high acidity has no effect on the male reproductive X cells. Y cells carry the male gene and the X cell carries the female gene.
* If a woman's pH level is determined to be highly alkaline (the opposite of acidic), she is far more likely to have a baby boy. High alkaline levels are harmful to the male reproductive Y cells, but harmless to the male reproductive X cell.
* Ovulation timing is a critical factor as well. But that is a whole different article in itself.

Step #2: Diet Adjustments

* Snacks and party foods (yum!) favor conception of a having a boy. This is due to the alkaline nature that salt has.
* Dairy products & orange juice lead to conception of a having a girl. This has to do with the acidity of these products.

Step #3: Specific Positions

* It is true! Specific positions are favorable for helping you decide the gender of the baby. I am trying to keep this G rated so I will not go into the details.
